Oh my goodness – Jasmine and Peter’s wedding was the most eventful wedding I’ve ever coordinated! We lost the Groom for a bit and the Bride got happily drunk but it was so much fun that no one will forget it. I also had the pleasure of styling this beautiful wedding too! Jasmine engaged me about 7 months before the wedding. We emailed a lot and had zoom meetings frequently to chat about styling but she was so wonderful to let me have full reign over what I could do.

The ceremony was at a lake in the Australian Botanical Gardens so I wanted to add lots of florals to emphasis us being in the Botanical Gardens. It was also set in July so adding florals will help bring more life to the venue. We decided on a clear perspex arch (so guests could still enjoy the view) and this stunning floral shelf that ran across the top. We then added two floral ground arrangements at the bottom of the arch to hide the mechanics for the photos and guests. We then added medium floral arrangements to be used as pew ends to line the aisle and scattered white florals to really accentuate it. Having the arrangements in vases helped us reuse them for the reception where we added hurricane pillar and tapered candles to the design to give it a softer and romantic look for the reception. It took us about two hours to relocate everything to the new venue and set it all up but I think it was so worth it!

Coordinating this wedding was so much fun! My favourite parts were drinking the bubble tea and watching the dragon dance – a nod to their Chinese heritage. Check out all the fun things below!
