This was one of the longest weddings I’ve worked both coordinating on the day and planning for the actual event.
On the day, Kristy and I worked from 8am till 1am which was a full 17 hours! We worked our butts off to create the dream wedding space only to take it all down and clean it all up a few hours later. The celebratory food was created and served by Monopole with Brent Savage at the head. It was a long 7 course degustation which the guests all thoroughly enjoyed. Guests then partied all day until well late into the night.
As for the planning, Allie, David and I worked on it for over 2 years. We were in the midst of planning when covid hit and we had to postpone the wedding and Allie and David had to move states. It was a crazy time but we managed to keep all our booked vendors for the new date and David’s family from Melbourne were able to come to the wedding.
All in all, this was a physically tough wedding but the couple were so grateful and had such a magical day!
