Working with a waterfront venue, we wanted to incorporate sea elements into the styling. So we started thinking about sea glass and how the ocean can create such beautiful textures and shapes which prompted us to mimic them but we wanted to make it more elegant and upscale. We got some plain bottles and spray painted them a white frost to keep it simple yet murky like the sea. We then used a soft material that held its shape as a runner before placing the bottles on it. Then we used this green leaf to cover and run through the bottles, acting a bit like seaweed that grows over and under everything. Our statement colour was gold to represent the gold treasure you find in the deep ocean.
However, our favourite attraction was the floral rings. The rings gave the styling depth and height and was something very unique that we hadn’t seen in other shoots so far. We used the same greenery to cover parts of the ring and added white florals on 2 of the rings to tie it together with the white candles and decor.
Everything was very simple, green and stunning. Sometimes less really is MORE!
